About Latigo Leather: Latigo leather is a cowhide leather that undergoes a combination tanning process. First, it is chrome tanned, and then it is vegetable tanned. This unique tanning method infuses the leather with oils and waxes, resulting in a moderately flexible material that is less rigid than full vegetable tans but more rigid than full chrome tans. Due to its tanning process and weight, latigo is considered one of the most expensive cattle hide leathers.

In Western saddlery, the term "latigo" refers to the straps that secure the cinches to the saddle rigging. Latigo leather is perfect for a wide range of applications, including tack, straps, belts, pet collars, leashes, and cinches.
